When it comes to effective brochure design, simple is best. But simple is not always easy. The tendency for those who are inexperienced in brochure design is to go crazy and use all the tools, colors, fonts etc at your disposal. That would be a mistake.
A quick look at some of the brochures already out there in your field of business will tell you that you need to keep in mind your audience, constantly.
Think about what your aim is in your brochure. What needs to be communicated and what can be left out, because the ‘white space’ around your message is just as important as your message Don’t overwhelm people with words; they won’t read them and your message will be lost.
Use color, bold and italics sparingly or they will lose their emphasis.
Oh, and make sure you proofread your work. Careless errors which slip through will imply that you are careless about your business too. |
